Advantages of learning a foreign language at an early age

Multilingualism has been linked to a variety of positive cognitive benefits, including early reading, better auditory perception, better problem-solving skills, and higher scores on school tests. Also, starting to learn a new language early will make it much easier to learn a third or even a fourth language later, as the child is able to understand how the functions and structures of a language are organized in general.

Improved global understanding

We live in a rapidly changing global world and multicultural society and understanding other cultures improves tolerance between people

Higher levels of competence

The longer a person is in contact with a new language, the higher levels of proficiency in that language can develop

Kids learn a second language easier

Children are able to learn new languages easily and without an accent, that leads to better listening skills and sharper memory and retention

Benefits of game-based learning

Learning languages should be fun when presented in an interesting and engaging way. It is an enjoyable learning activity.
Didactic Foundations

Research tells us that children learn easier if we address them visually and orally. Other research tells us that visual media are the most successful because sight participates with about 75% in the learning process. When hearing is added with 13% participation in the recall process, it is clear that a foreign language is best learned with a combination of audio-video media.

So here we have the answer to the question why children easily remember what they see on television or why they easily outgrow multimedia games on the computer but forget the lessons they are learning at school. Also, an important role in the new multimedia method of teaching foreign languages has the interactivity between cause and consequence. This uses parts of the brain that are not used with passive listening and viewing the lesson.

Why use multimedia in teaching foreign languages?

The multimedia method of teaching foreign languages means the use of various means for children to master the foreign language more successfully. Individually, the media we use are: songs, readings, videos, games. Of course, their combinations are often used at the same time, such as interactive audio-video-exercises.
